To fully integrate the Internet, Business and Profit
into a successful model you will need another
component: Traffic. Almost every article about
making a website successful includes the
importance of generating traffic.

We all know that at the core of it all traffic is the
most essential thing to an internet based
business' success. Aside from ensuring that you
have a great product to sell, and you have your
business's internal organization, like product
distribution, well taken care of, it would be time to
get to the heart of things, generating website
visitors.
If you already have a site and you think that
you're not getting the traffic that expect or need,
then it's time to reconsider where you've been
focusing your resources. To be successful in this
very competitive business, you always have to
be a step ahead of your competition and
increasing your flow of potential customers
should probably have started yesterday.
It's an old adage but it still holds true: Timing IS
everything. With generating traffic, you should
always be on your toes and be a day ahead of
everyone. Never think of tomorrow as a starting
point, think of today as the day. Ideally it should
have been yesterday.
To help you out in generating more traffic for
your site, here are seven surefire ways to start
increasing it starting today.
1) Optimize your website around proper
keywords or keyword phrases.
For most websites the highest volume of traffic
will come from search engines. The higher your
website appears on results pages the more likely
you will see increased visitors. Selecting and
using the right keyword for your website is a key
component to search engine optimization.
2) Invest in good advertising with Search Engines.
Google's Adwords and Yahoo's Search Marketing
programs provide great advertising opportunities
that can generate highly targeted traffic. Although
this is an excellent way to jumpstart your traffic it
does cost money. While some website owners
shy away from spending money to increase
traffic, it is important that you at least consider it.
Consider getting professional assistance. When
done correctly, search engine marketing can be
very cost effective. When done poorly it can just
be very costly.
3) Build one-way and reciprocal links to your
website.
Links to your site have a two-fold value. First,
they provide ways for people to find your
website as they visit related websites. Second,
they help boost the importance of your website's
pages in search engines like Google and Yahoo!.
Consider requesting link exchanges with other
websites that have similar (but not competing)
content. Also, look for opportunities to build one-
way links like leaving comments on other
websites and blogs.
4) Use Viral Marketing.
Viral marketing allows you to spread the word
about your company and product for little or
relatively low costs. This is a marketing method
that can be quite effective; you can attach your
company's name, product or link to media such
as a funny video, an entertaining game, an
interesting article or something that will create
'buzz.' The goal is to get people interested enough
to pass the content, and your link, to others. If
done correctly you can create a virtual army of
people willing to promote your business.
5) Join forums and online communities and
become an active participant.
Look for forums that are relevant to your
products, services or expertise. Review existing
comments and offer insightful reviews,
comments or assistance. Again, this builds your
expert status and provides another great
opportunity to include a link to your website in
your signature.
6) Write and publish relevant articles.
Submit original articles that are highly relevant to
your website's content to highly ranked article
distribution sites like EzineArticles or Article
Dashboard. For instance, if you sell animal toys
write articles about how to select the right toys
for your dog. Use the resource box to include a
description of your site or services and most
importantly, include a link to your website.
Articles not only provide links back to your
website (see method 2) but also help establish
you as an expert in your field.
7) Lastly, produce newsletters or e-zines.
Newsletters can be an invaluable way to get leads
of potential customers and provide a way to turn
those leads into loyal customers. By offering
newsletters that contain valuable, unique content
you can attract subscribers who are interested in
what you're offering. If they find the information
valuable they are more likely to turn to your
website when they need a product or service.
There are many other ways to generate website
but these are surefire ways that you can use to
get started today. You only have customers to
lose by not getting started now.

Planning to set up a business? You can start by spending on the rent for office space or a commercial building. You have to physically set up your business. Then you have to start advertising for your products or services - but this will only reach the people in the local vicinity, unless word of mouth of your business reaches other places or if you advertise nationwide through television or radio commercials. However, these options may be too expensive for a starting business. Either way, you can only reach a limited amount of consumers.
Bringing your business online may reap rewards you cannot even begin to imagine! There are a lot of advantages to bringing your business endeavors online. One of these is avoiding the costs of setting up a physical office or store. You don’t have to spend on rent for office space. Or pay monthly dues for the maintenance of your office like electricity and staff wages. There is also the hassle of traveling from your home to the office location, dealing heavy traffic and having to pay for transportation costs. With online opportunities for your business, you can be free from all of these. With the internet business industry growing, there will surely be a lot of progress in setting up your very own online business.
With having your own business online, you can reach even the farthest person on the planet. Physical distance is not a factor in dealing with clients online. Your clientele will not be limited to your locality compared to setting up a traditional offline business. Rather, your business will be accessible to clients all over the world as long as they can be connected in the internet.
One downside in setting up an online business is that people generally have a preference to look, feel, or test the product physically to check for their quality. They don’t easily trust the product’s description or pictures. People also have the liking to take strolls in malls. For them it is a leisurely activity for the whole family. Walking in malls is also a healthy form of exercise that people have come to enjoy over the years. This is an experience not felt when doing business online.
In order to get the people to transact in your business online, you have to properly and creatively write articles to draw these potential online customers in. This can be termed as article marketing. Article marketing involves the appropriate construction of articles to help online businesses, products, or services. It is somehow similar to online advertising, although the article used does not pose as an advertisement. Instead the article focuses on descriptions and other relevant information of the business, product, or service.
Articles should be written in such a way that online consumers will be drawn to your business. There are numerous guidelines for the creation of articles. This will be discussed by other topics or articles.
It is also important to develop the trust of the customers. Customers almost always seek assurances that their product of choice is of excellent quality. Plainly describing the products can just lead to doubts to some people, thinking that these are just sales talk. You should come up with articles that can help build the trust of the people. It’s up to your creativity to do that. Sometimes it takes more than words to build a trusting relationship.
Through article marketing you should be able to reach out to customers. The principle is not to wait for customers to come to your business, but rather bringing your business to them. The articles that you have for your business should contain all the necessary information these online consumers need to know. The articles should also be convincing enough to lure the online consumers to your business. Do not heavily focus on luring online consumers though. They might end up disappointed with your business to the point that they give bad reviews towards you. Try to keep your articles.
Article marketing involves the utilization of article directories where you deposit your articles. These article directories categorize your articles fittingly to their corresponding categories. Popular search engines also browse through article directories when an online user searches for relevant keywords. Your article should have the appropriate keyword for is to be located by the online user. And the better the article in terms of quality and popularity, the higher its priority and ranking in search engines and article directories. Articles are always vying for priority to get better exposure to the online community. It helps to know that your articles should be good enough to make online users read them and patronize them.
Always remember that the very core of your online business is through article marketing. Keep your potential customers well informed by writing articles. Both the buyer and seller will benefit form these articles. The buyer gets all the needed information regarding the desired product and the seller is able to sell the product and gains money.

Brian Campbell, best selling author and successful internet marketer taught me the first commandment of internet marketing, "You cannot promote anything online without first capturing the email address of your website visitors." Otherwise, your most valuable asset (visitors, traffic) passes right on by, without you even knowing who they were and giving you no way to follow up with them to get them back to your website.

Most people visiting a new site have no intention of buying anything. They are usually casually surfing for information and happen to find your site. Unless they are totally impulsive, they will leave your site without buying anything. You see your site visitor counter increase everyday, but wonder why your sales are not increasing at the same rate. Here's the answer. On average, it takes seven exposures to one product or new idea before a person will buy in. So you need to have a way to systematically follow up with your website visitors and at the same time build your most valuable asset, an email list that you can market to over and over again.
How would you like an automated salesperson working for your site 24 hours a day seven days a week? This salesperson never gets sick, is always available to greet your customers and does not take a "no" personally. They continue to follow up with your prospects just as you instructed them until the prospect opts out, but continually adds new prospects to your database without any trouble. The magic tool to accomplish this is called an autoresponder.
An autoresponder is an account that you subscribe to that captures and manages an email database collected from the traffic of your website. When you log into your autoresponder account, you can generate a sign-up form that will capture the name and email address and any other pertinent information you want to collect from your website visitors. You can then set up a campaign, a predetermined set of emails that you create and design with the purpose of getting the visitors back to your website and to buy your products or services. <
Autoresponders can be used for other valuable and important purposes too. You can offer a free newsletter or a mini course promoting different aspects to your site. By offering something of value and at no cost, more people are willing to give you their email address. Once you have developed an email list, you can send a broadcast message to the entire list at the same time with a special promotion from your website or a joint venture with another internet marketer. Thousands have been made over one weekend with this kind of special promotion. The possibilities are endless, but have to have the system in place for it to work.
Where can you get an autoresponder program? There are scripts available that you can upload to your site but I would stay away from these. It is best to use an online service with a third party service. Where can you find one? A quick autoresponder Google search will provide you with many options. Most autoresponder sites will charge you a monthly fee and will allow you to run multiple campaigns and websites. The fees can range from free to as much as you are willing to pay for, depending on the services you need. However, I have found a very reliable autoresponder that you can test drive for free. You can try it out and learn how to work it with the basics you need to run a successful campaign. As your needs grow, they do have upgrade options you can subscribe to for a reasonable monthly fee to expand your service options. You can find this service at Getresponse.com.
If you are currently not using an autoresponder on your website, you are potentially missing out on thousands of dollars in potential sales. Don't miss out on any more sales! I strongly urge you to get an autoresponder set up today.

The basic premise behind current Viral Marketing strategies is that a document, PDF file or email with the author's URL (the address of the author's sales website) embedded in it is designed to be freely circulated on the Internet. Two possible requirements are necessary to make the piece find its way around the web on its own merits.
One prerequisite is that the content must be of sufficient quality so that someone other than the original author will forward it to other recipients for free, or a pre- arranged Joint Venture payment. It must contain helpful or useful information, usually a small excerpt from a larger course or document that is for sale. A second option is that the writing must be compelling enough to generate enthusiasm or the apparent conspiracy of previously unreleased information that will lead to untold wealth. As more and more people forward the item, the URL of the sales website falls into the hands of greater and greater numbers of potential customers. The whole point of the exercise is cheaper and more effective advertising to elicit greater sales from customers that may have otherwise not been aware of the available product line. To persons with a medical background, or anyone whose life has been affected by a real virus, the term 'Viral Marketing' is obviously abhorrent. Please remember this is only an imaginary model of a singularly efficient organism. Just as twenty years ago a 'bad' car really meant a very good car to those in the know, 'Viral' Marketing is only an analogy. The virus is one of the oldest creatures on earth, and has developed the most effective means of replicating itself. In the simplest of explanations, a virus is a short chain of molecular RNA. A virus is not believed to actually be alive, but exists only to create more of itself. Once it invades a living cell, the viral RNA uses the host cell's DNA to replicate another complete strand of its RNA. A protein coating then envelops the new identical virus, and it escapes on its way. The protein jacket is enzymatic, and used to either mate with the walls of a new host cell and force an entry, or trick the cell into letting the virus inside. Viral RNA -> Viral DNA -> Viral Protein Irresistible Message -> Viral Document -> Exponential Distribution The part of this process that an Internet Marketer wants to emulate is the replication, and subsequent self-powered web-wide distribution. The email or document itself is the protein envelope, and the context of the message is akin to the RNA. The expectation of priceless information is the enzymatic action the author must initiate. The words must be powerful enough to cause the reader to replicate, or forward, the message to others, without hesitation. This is the current common system of Viral Marketing. At only one location on the grid, this has now evolved one giant step further A retrovirus is exponentially more powerful than the average garden- variety virus. This collection of molecules invades a cell, and uses the host DNA to create viral DNA, which then replicates RNA for perpetual distribution. The Virtual Cell in today's World Wide Web is the forum. Many forums are set up by a single guru, and various other near-gurus join to share technical knowledge and post very specific questions. The trouble with this type of cell is that the bulk of the membership will invariably be composed of eager beginning marketers. These 'newbies' are often self-conscious when posting queries in the public forum, and remain mostly on the sidelines, lurking, but not expressing their opinion. Unfortunately, a forum of intermediate programmers and Internet Marketers will not include the basic DNA building blocks necessary for beginning individuals to succeed. To form a Virtual Cell where complete transcription of DNA may take place, it must be headed up by a Mentor. This model will allow less-experienced Internet Marketers a comfort zone, where they may ask the necessary beginner questions without their self-imposed embarrassment. The Mentor can then help the members quickly develop their knowledge with proven methods. The Mentor can also orchestrate affiliate sales of his product line and eliminate unprofitable systems before they become entrenched, and discourage the fish. Every member of the Virtual Master Cell that makes the grade can establish new potential sales point nodes on the web. Viral RNA -> Viral DNA -> Viral RNA -> Viral Protein Irresistible Message -> Virtual Cell w/ Mentor -> Successful Affiliates/ Partners The ideas and knowledge of the Mentor are the RNA to be transcribed into fresh minds. With the complete DNA blueprint of a successful Internet Marketer, the Mentor, or Originator, can engineer lucrative future projects. The Virtual Cell will grow on its own strength, feeding voraciously off new ideas, and the finale is a Virtual Master Mind. A new grid of sales point nodes will be laid overtop of the internet, and a greater group of individuals will develop confidence and success. The Mentor has now replicated his success blueprint into a veritable army of affiliates and possible partners. With the Virtual Cell model, and a Virtual Master Mind that matures of its own accord, success will come much faster for all involved. Success begets success. Now whether this archetype is by intentional design or auspicious evolution, only the Internet Profit Mentor himself knows for sure.
